由《孙子兵法》《吴子兵法》《六韬》《司马法》《三略》《尉缭子》《李卫公问对》七部著名兵书汇编而成。自宋朝以来一直作为武学必读的七种兵书。作者张居正（1525年－1582年），字叔大，号太岳，汉族，幼名张白圭。江陵人，时人又称张江陵。明朝中后期政治家、改革家，万历时期的内阁首辅，辅佐万历皇帝朱翊钧开创了“万历新政”。张居正也是明代唯一生前就被授予太傅、太师的大臣。为万历所忌，去世后被抄家，至明熹宗天启二年恢复名誉。著有《张太岳集》、《书经直解》、《帝鉴图说》等。
It is compiled from seven famous military books: Sun Tzu’s Art of War, Wu Tzu’s Art of War, Six Towers, Sima’s Art, Three Strategies, Weiliaozi, and Li Weigong’s Questions. Since the Song Dynasty, it has been regarded as the seven military books that must be read in martial arts. The author is Zhang Juzheng (1525-1582), with the name of Shuda, Taiyue, Han nationality, and the young name of Zhang Baigui. Jiangling people, also known as Zhang Jiangling. In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yijun, a politician and reformer who was the head and assistant of the cabinet in the Wanli period, helped Emperor Wanli to create the “Wanli New Deal”. Zhang Juzheng was also the only minister of the Ming Dynasty who was awarded the title of Taifu or Grand Shifu. He was forbidden by Wanli and was copied by his family after his death. His reputation was restored in the second year of Tianqi of Emperor Xizong in the Ming Dynasty. His works include Zhang Taiyue Collection, Direct Interpretation of the Book of Songs, Emperor Jiantu Shuo, etc.
