本書收錄作者自二○○四年至二○一二年八年之間在北京所寫有關經學史、經學文獻的文章共十七篇。八年時間，作者的主要時間都投入到整理文獻的工作上，而在這過程中，也沒忘記思考「經學是什麽？」的問題。經過八年之後，現在認為鄭玄才是空前絕後最純粹的經學家。加深對鄭玄的理解，我們同時也能深化對其他歷代經學家的認識。清末以來延續一百多年的經學、經學史觀念，已經開始瓦解，我們需要重新認識鄭玄。
This book contains 17 articles on the history and literature of Confucian classics written by the author in Beijing from 2004 to 2012.
