1909年竹久梦二26岁的时候以处女作《梦二画集·春之卷》崭露头角，此后陆续出版了《梦二画集·夏之卷》《梦二画集·秋之卷》《梦二画集·冬之卷》等。这是竹久梦二的成名作更是代表作。竹久梦二的画风深刻反映现实又自成一体，诗句也精炼富有韵味，深深影响了我国漫画大师丰子恺，并深受鲁迅、周作人、朱自清等大文学家所喜爱，同时也获得现代读者持久的喜爱。《梦二画集·夏之卷》，以1910年（明治四十三年）4月第1版为底本，依据原版封面以及开本尺寸进行翻译出版，这是《梦二画集·夏之卷》出版105年来第一次在中国译介出版。《夏之卷》是竹久梦二继《春之卷》之后的又一代表作，收录了梦二早期的作品。
In 1909, when Zhu Jiumenger was 26 years old, he made his debut with his maiden work “Dream II Paintings – Volume of Spring”. Since then, he has successively published “Dream II Paintings – Volume of Summer”, “Dream II Paintings – Volume of Autumn”, and “Dream II Paintings – Volume of Winter”. This is the famous work of Zhujiumenger, and it is also the representative work. The style of Zhu Jiumenger’s painting deeply reflects the reality and integrates itself, and the poetry is also refined and full of charm, which has deeply influenced Feng Zikai, the master of Chinese cartoons, and is deeply loved by Lu Xun, Zhou Zuoren, Zhu Ziqing and other great literary scholars, as well as by modern readers. Based on the first edition of the first edition in April 1910 (the forty-third year of Meiji era), the book was translated and published according to the cover and size of the original edition. This is the first time that the book has been translated and published in China for 105 years. “Volume of Summer” is another representative work of Zhujiumeng II after “Volume of Spring”, which includes the early works of Dream II.
