清康熙朝开始，宜兴窑以最精湛的技艺制作“宫廷壶”，这种专为进贡宫廷或者由宫廷出样定制的紫砂器，称为“宫廷紫砂”。宫廷紫砂代表了当时紫砂器制作的最高水平。《故宫博物院藏文物珍品大系·紫砂器》收录了故宫博物院收藏的紫砂器二百一十五件，供紫砂器爱好者和研究者学习欣赏。
