本卷从故宫博物院所藏皇家御用的6000多件珐琅器皿中精选出具有代表性的作品200余件，不仅展示了中国金属胎珐琅工艺的发展脉络和成就，而且为“景泰蓝”的断代研究提供了重要的图文资料。书中所刊的珐琅制品多为宫廷制作，仅供皇帝及皇室所享用，只有少量作为贵重礼物被恩赐给王公大臣，流传于民间的则更为稀少，因此，愈增添了这些深藏皇宫大内，世人难以目睹的精美的珐琅制品的独特而神秘的魅力。

This volume selects more than 200 representative works from more than 6000 enamel vessels used by the royal family in the Palace Museum, which not only shows the development and achievements of China’s metal body enamel technology, but also provides important graphic materials for the dating study of “cloisonne”. Most of the enamel products published in the book are made by the imperial court and are only for the emperor and the royal family to enjoy. Only a small amount of them are given to the princes and ministers as valuable gifts, and the ones that spread among the people are even rarer. Therefore, the unique and mysterious charm of these exquisite enamel products that are hidden in the imperial palace and hard to be seen by the world is added.
