春秋战国是社会大变革时代,随着商周礼乐制度的衰落,青铜礼乐器逐渐被日常生活用器所替代,青铜时代结束。秦汉以后,礼乐制度不复存在,青铜制造并未停止,而是更多地进入了日常生活领域,渗透到社会生活中的各个方面。故宫博物院收藏青铜生活用器不但数量多,时代完整,且品类丰富,其中都属于青铜器中这精品。本卷撷取的先秦至宋代青铜生活用器二百零九件(套),为不同时期的代表器,从一个侧面反映照了当时的社会生活状况。

The Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were the era of great social change. With the decline of the ritual music system in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, the bronze ritual instruments were gradually replaced by everyday instruments, and the Bronze Age ended. After the Qin and Han Dynasties, the ritual and music system no longer existed, and bronze manufacturing did not stop, but more into the field of daily life, infiltrated into all aspects of social life. The Palace Museum has a large collection of bronze life tools, complete in age and rich in categories, all of which belong to the fine bronze ware. Two hundred and nine pieces (sets) of bronze household utensils collected in this volume from the Pre Qin Dynasty to the Song Dynasty are representative of different periods, reflecting the social living conditions at that time from one side.
