Liu Hulan and his playmate Dayong, who were determined to fight against Japan and save the country when they were young, became traitors later, while Liu Hulan insisted on joining the CPC, performing a heroic hymn of heroism that was not inferior to men, and finally died bravely, telling the audience a touching and noble moral character.

“Liu Hulan” mainly centers on the story of his grandfather’s memory of Liu Hulan. It tells the story of Liu Hulan and his playmate Dayong when they were young. They were originally determined to fight and save the country, but later Dayong, who was not strong willed, became a traitor. Liu Hulan insisted on joining the CPC, staged a heroic hymn of heroism, and finally died bravely, telling the audience about a touching and lofty moral character of looking at death as if returning home
