《吕梁英雄》是北京电影制片厂1950年摄制故事片（黑白）。1942年春，晋绥边区吕梁山一带常受日军骚扰。康家寨民兵队长、党支部书记柱子，由于缺乏组织群众开展游击斗争的经验，村民生命财产损失惨重。区党委书记兼大队长老马总结血的教训，在调运物资以解村民燃眉之急的同时，发动群众积极开展对敌斗争。村民在柱子的领导下，从敌人手中夺回耕牛，发展生产。一贯思想保守落后的保儿爹也毅然送子参加民兵 。秋天，庄稼丰收在望，日军又来抢粮。村民坚壁清野，巧摆地雷阵，大获全胜。村里有个名叫康锡雪的汉奸，这时伪装老实，捐出麦子给民兵买枪，暗地里却通报敌人捕捉干部。民兵因胜利而麻痹大意，致使柱子等民兵干部被俘，受尽酷刑。老马获悉后，带领全区民兵，乘主力部队围攻县城之机，与地下工作者密切配合，救出柱子等人，杀死日军指挥官松本、生擒康锡雪，并解放了水峪镇。

The militia became careless due to victory, resulting in the capture and torture of militia cadres such as pillars. After learning about it, Lao Ma led the militia in the entire area and took advantage of the main force to besiege the county town. He closely cooperated with underground workers to rescue Zhuzhu and others, killed Japanese commander Matsumoto, captured Kang Xixue alive, and liberated Shuiyu Town.
