《中国高等植物图鉴(第5册)》为了适应广大植物学工作者和有关生产、科研部门的需要，在开发我国丰富的野生植物资源中，正确地识别植物种类，为祖国的社会主义建设服务，我们编写了《中国高等植物图鉴(第5册)》。我国幅员广大，植物种类繁多，高等植物（包括苔藓植物、蕨类植物、裸子植物、被子植物）约有三万种。《中国高等植物图鉴(第5册)》主要收录有经济价值和常见的种类八千余种，分五册出版。第一册包括苔藓植物、蕨类植物、裸子植物和被子植物的木麻黄科至蓬叶桐科，第二册包括被子植物的罂粟科至山茱萸科，第三册包括被子植物的岩梅科至茄科，第四册包括被子植物的玄参科至菊科，第五册包括被子植物的单子叶植物纲。每种植物均有形态、分布、生境方面的简要描述和线条图，有的植物还叙述了它的主要用途。中国高等植物图鉴.第五册之一、中国高等植物图鉴.第五册之二、中国高等植物图鉴.第五册之三

In order to meet the needs of botanists and relevant production and scientific research departments, correctly identify plant species in the development of China’s rich wild plant resources, and serve the socialist construction of the motherland, we compiled the Chinese Higher Plant Atlas (Volume 5). China has a vast territory and a wide variety of plants. There are about 30000 species of higher plants (including bryophytes, ferns, gymnosperms and angiosperms). The Atlas of Higher Plants in China (Volume 5) mainly includes more than 8000 species of economic value and common species, and is published in five volumes. Volume I covers Casuarinaceae to Pittosporinaceae of bryophytes, ferns, gymnosperms and angiosperms, Volume II covers Papaveraceae to Cornaceae of angiosperms, Volume III covers Plumaceae to Solanaceae of angiosperms, Volume IV covers Scrophulariaceae to Compositae of angiosperms, and Volume V covers monocotyledonous classes of angiosperms. Each plant has a brief description and line diagram of its morphology, distribution and habitat. Some plants also describe their main uses.
