《八卦掌述真图谱》先从理论入题，首选阐述了八卦掌的传承与发展、风格与技击特点、健身作用、功法特点及练习方法和步骤，使有志于八卦掌的朋友，先对所要学练的内容建立初步的认识。而后，按照八卦趟泥步、八卦掌功法、操守的顺序，由浅入深讲解八卦掌的基本技术，让大家熟悉动作，更重要的是练出功夫。在《八卦掌述真图谱》的最后部分，安排了八卦九宫掌和八卦游身连环掌这两套影响较大的套路，来丰富学习内容，提高演练水平。
The Manual of Eight Trigrams Palm Telling the Truth starts from the theory, and first describes the inheritance and development, style and fighting characteristics, fitness function, skill characteristics, training methods and steps of the Eight Trigrams Palm, so that those who are interested in the Eight Trigrams Palm can first establish a preliminary understanding of the content to be learned. Then, the basic techniques of the Eight Diagrams Palm will be explained from the simple to the deep according to the order of the Eight Diagrams Mud Step, the Eight Diagrams Palm’s skill and integrity, so that everyone can get familiar with the action, and more importantly, practice kungfu. In the last part of the “Eight Diagrams Palm Telling Truth Manual”, two sets of influential routines, the Eight Diagrams Nine Palaces Palm and the Eight Diagrams Youshen Lianhuan Palm, are arranged to enrich the learning content and improve the practice level.
