《十七帖》是著名的王羲之草书代表作，因卷首由“十七”二字而得名。原墨迹早佚，现传世《十七帖》是刻本。此帖为一组书信，书写时间从永和三年到升平五年（公元347-361年），时间长达十四年之久，是研究王羲之生平和书法发展的重要资料。此外，需要注意的是，《十七帖》单独成“帖”，编排顺序上也是大有讲究，从开始的从容点画、字字清晰流畅，到中间的恣意奔放，到《青李来禽帖》以楷书稍事休整，再入《虞安吉帖》的狂放奔洒，纵贯起来犹如一整篇交响巨制。此帖收入各家法帖，是为千古以来，可谓草书教科书。
“Seventeen Notes” is a famous representative work of Wang Xizhi’s cursive script, named after the word “seventeen” at the beginning of the volume. The original ink trace was lost early, and now the “Seventeen Notes” is a block edition. This post is a group of letters written from the third year of Yonghe to the fifth year of Shengping (347-361 AD), lasting for 14 years. It is an important material for studying Wang Xizhi’s life and calligraphy development. In addition, it should be noted that the “Seventeen Posts” are individually formed as “Posts”, and the sequence of arrangement is also very meticulous. From the beginning, they are composed of leisurely strokes and clear and fluent characters, to the middle, they are unrestrained and unrestrained, to the “Qing Li Lai Bird Posts”, which is briefly refreshed in regular script, and then to the unrestrained and unrestrained “Yu An Ji Posts”, which runs through like a complete symphonic masterpiece. This post has been collected from various legacies and has been used as a cursive textbook for thousands of years.
