行书是楷书的快写，相传始于汉末。它不及楷书的工整，也没有草书的草率。代表作最著名的是东晋书法家王羲之的《兰亭序》，前人以“龙跳天门，虎卧凤阁”形容其字雄强俊秀，赞誉为“天下第一行书”。唐颜真卿所书《祭侄稿》，写得劲挺奔放，古人评之为“天下第二行书”。
Running script is the fast writing of regular script, which is said to have started in the late Han Dynasty. It is not as neat as regular script or cursive script. The most famous representative work is the Preface to Orchid Pavilion by Wang Xizhi, a calligrapher of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Its predecessors described it as powerful and handsome with the words “dragon leaps over the gate of heaven, and tiger lies in the phoenix pavilion”, praised it as “the best running script in the world”. The “Nephew Worship Manuscript” written by Tang Yan Zhenqing is very vigorous and unrestrained. The ancients rated it as “the second running script in the world”.
