《明清帝后宝玺》是1996年紫禁城出版社出版的图书，作者是故宫博物院。在中国印章艺术的宝库中，皇帝的宝玺占有突出的历史地位。玺符合一, 自秦汉以来形成固定的制度，是中国古代皇帝制度的重要内容。至明清两朝，宝玺制度更趋系统和完备，是以故宫博物院收藏着数千方明清帝后的各种宝玺。由于历史的原因，皇帝的宝玺深藏皇宫大内，世人难以目睹。《明清帝后宝玺》收录明清两朝皇帝、后妃现存的宝玺、庙号谥号册宝、铁券、符牌实物四百余件。全书体例以明、清两代分列，其下分门别类，以类相从, 每类下再设子目，子目之下以文物固有地位排序，每一序号均领实物彩照一至数幅及钤本、玺面释文与简略考述短文，凡组玺一组只占一个序号，凡多面玺都一律收入每面钤本，凡玺身有薄意雕刻者均收入拓本。全书钤本、拓本都按原大制版。书前弁言由顾问朱家溍先生撰稿并手书。 [1] 本书是全面反映明清帝后玺符制度的第一部大型图集，填补了宫廷文物图录中的空白。此书既有华贵精美的实物彩照，又有许多首次公布的资料，装璜典雅，厚重大气，形式与内容浑然一体，观赏性与资料性兼备，不仅为研究明、清两朝的典章制度史、思想史、文化史、哲学史、宗教史、宫廷史、印章艺术史以及铭刻学提供了系统、直观的实物资料, 还为书画版本鉴定提供了可靠的印鉴依据，具有极高的参考价值。
The Seal of Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties is a book published by the Forbidden City Press in 1996. The author is the Palace Museum. In the treasure house of Chinese seal art, the emperor’s seal occupies a prominent historical position. The seal is consistent with one. Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, it has formed a fixed system, which is an important part of the ancient Chinese emperor system. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, the seal system became more systematic and complete, because the Palace Museum collected thousands of square meters of seals of the emperors and empresses of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Due to historical reasons, the emperor’s seal was hidden deep in the palace, which was difficult for the world to witness. The Royal Seal of Emperors and Empresses of the Ming and Qing Dynasties contains more than 400 pieces of the existing imperial seals, temple titles and titles of the emperors and empresses of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The style of the whole book is divided into Ming and Qing dynasties. The following categories are divided into categories, and each category is followed by sub items. The sub items are sorted according to the inherent position of cultural relics. Each serial number receives one to several physical color photos, seal copies, seal surface interpretation and brief textual research essays. Each group of seals has only one serial number. All multiple seals are included in each seal copy, and all seals with thin engraving are included in rubbings. The seal copy and rubbings of the whole book are made according to the original large plate. The preface to the book was written by Mr. Zhu Jiajin, a consultant.
