《冀热辽画报》是继《晋察冀画报》之后在华北敌后抗日根据地创办的第二份摄影画报。创刊号由冀热辽军区政治部于1945年7月7日出版，16开本，66页。卷首刊出两幅彩绘《冀热辽敌我形势图》。创刊号也刊载了冀热辽区多位军政首长同志的题词，同在创刊号上发表。
《冀热辽画报》创刊号共刊出新闻照片91幅，其中独幅照片有《挺进东北》（封面）、《渤海进军》（封底）、《铁的子弟兵》（单页）、《缴敌人的武器，武装自己杀伤敌人》（单页）等4幅。所刊照片的摄影者既有罗光达、张进学等专业摄影工作者，也有王文、何畏等业余摄影爱好者，这从一个侧面显示出当时的新闻摄影工作已经有了广泛的群众基础。画报创刊号不仅发表了军区司令员李运昌所写详述敌后武装斗争史的重要文献《屹立在敌后之敌后的冀热辽抗日根据地》，也刊出了毛泽东及八路军将领的肖像，还有《冀热辽子弟兵战绩辉煌》、《坚持塞外斗争解救东北同胞的子弟兵》、《保卫祖国领海：冀热辽八路军海上游击队》、《六百万从斗争中武装起来的人民》、《民主建设》和《新解放区动态》等6组专题摄影报道。此外，《[来自Www.lW5u.com]冀热辽画报》作为一本内容丰富，品种齐全的综合性文艺刊物，在创刊号上登载了安靖的漫画《全民一致呼声》，飞虹的木刻《一支没顶子弹的枪》，温泉、林果的诗《母亲，我们向你歌唱》、《慰劳》，周奋的通讯《满洲军到底是什么货？》，祥均的报告文学《把地雷的神威施展到敌人心脏里去》。
《冀热辽画报》创刊号受当时纸张、材料的限制，只印了500本，发行后立即被社会各界人士抢购一空，如今流传下来的只有寥寥数本，足见其珍贵程度。1945年10月15日，《冀热辽画报》社接到上级命令，把《冀热辽画报》改为《东北画报》，取消部队编制，由东北局宣传部直接领导。1945年11月，《东北画报》正式成立后，把编辑中的《冀热辽画报》第二期改成《东北画报》创刊号出版。
Jire Liaohua Pictorial is the second photographic pictorial created in the anti Japanese base area behind the enemy lines in North China after Jinchaji Pictorial. The inaugural issue was published on July 7, 1945 by the Political Department of Jire Liaojun District. It is a 16 folio edition with 66 pages. At the beginning of the volume, there are two colored drawings, “The Situation Map of the Enemy and Our Enemies in Jire and Liaohe”. The inaugural issue also carried the inscriptions of several military and political leaders of Jire Liao District, which were also published on the inaugural issue.

The inaugural issue of Jire Liao Pictorial published 91 news photos, including four photos, including March into the Northeast (cover), March into the Bohai Sea (back cover), Iron Soldiers (single page), and Take Over the Enemy’s Weapons, Arm Yourself to Kill the Enemy (single page). The photographers of the published photos include professional photographers such as Luo Guangda and Zhang Jinxue, as well as amateur photographers such as Wang Wen and He Wei, which shows from a side that journalism photography at that time had a broad mass base. The inaugural issue of Pictorial not only published the important documents describing the history of armed struggle behind the enemy written by Li Yunchang, commander of the military region, “Jire Liao Anti Japanese Base Area Standing behind the enemy behind the enemy”, but also published the portraits of Mao Zedong and the generals of the Eighth Route Army, as well as “Jire Liao Soldiers’ Brilliant Achievements”, “Persisting in the struggle outside the Great Wall to save the children of Northeast compatriots”, “Defending the territorial sea of the motherland: Jire Liao Eighth Route Army maritime guerrillas” Six groups of special photography reports including Six Million People Armed from the Struggle, Democratic Construction and New Liberated Area Dynamics. In addition, [from Www. lW5u. com] Jire Liao Pictorial, as a comprehensive literary and artistic journal with rich content and complete varieties, published Anjing’s cartoon “The Voice of the Whole People” on the inaugural issue, Feihong’s woodcut “A Gun without a Top Bullet”, Hot Spring and Lin Guo’s poems “Mother, We Sing to You” and “Comfort”, Zhou Fen’s newsletter “What is Manchu Army?”, Xiang Jun’s reportage “Exerting the Power of Landmines into the Enemy’s Heart”.
The inaugural issue of Jire Liao Pictorial was limited by the paper and materials at that time, and only 500 copies were printed, which was immediately snapped up by people from all walks of life after its release. Today, only a few copies have been handed down, which shows how precious it is. On October 15, 1945, the Jire Liao Pictorial News Agency received an order from its superiors to change the Jire Liao Pictorial News into the Northeast Pictorial News, cancel the troop establishment and be directly led by the Northeast Bureau Propaganda Department. In November 1945, after the official establishment of Northeast Pictorial, the second edition of Jire Liao Pictorial was changed into the first issue of Northeast Pictorial.
