《现代八字命理学纲要》是“现代八字命理学”系列教材的第一本，本书尝试应用全新的符号论框架，探寻八字中更深层次的信息。这是新时代背景下，对八字命理学研究方法的一次拓展。陆致极先生在本书前言中提到，这是自己向前探索的框架性构思和分析技法的大胆尝试。同时，冠以“现代”两字，正是试图用现代科学理论来组织和深化命理知识。《现代八字命理学纲要》全书共十三章。第一、二章是绪论和命理学简史。第三至第七章是“东山篇”。它以“黑箱”多视角分析的理论模型，阐述命理剖析的基本程式。第八章以后是“泰山篇”。作者尝试用符号论的论命框架，展示人生多领域的深入分析和实际操作，开拓命理的现代研究。
The “Outline of Modern Eight Character Numerology” is the first textbook in the “Modern Eight Character Numerology” series. This book attempts to apply a new semiotic framework to explore deeper levels of information in the eight character system. This is an extension of the research method of the Eight Character Nomology in the context of the new era. Mr. Lu Zhiji mentioned in the preface of this book that this is his bold attempt to explore the framework concept and analytical techniques forward. At the same time, the word “modern” is an attempt to use modern Scientific theory to organize and deepen the knowledge of numerology. The book “Outline of Modern Eight Character Numerology” consists of thirteen chapters. The first and second chapters are the introduction and a brief history of numerology. The third to seventh chapters are the “Dongshan Chapter”. It uses a theoretical model of “black box” multi perspective analysis to explain the basic program of numerology analysis. Chapter 8 is followed by “Mount Taishan Chapter”. The author attempts to use the semiotic framework of numerology to demonstrate in-depth analysis and practical operations in multiple fields of life, and to explore modern research on numerology.
