Western Chinese Images (1793-1949), written by Bian Xiuyue, was published by Huangshan Publishing House on September 1, 2015. Western Images of China (1793-1949) is a collection of paintings and films about China created by Western diplomats, soldiers, missionaries, explorers, professional journalists, etc. who came to China from 1793 when the British envoy Macartney made the mission to China (there were few images about China before that) to 1949, as well as pictures about China published by western newspapers or western newspapers published in China at that time.
