《浣花洗剑录》是古龙创作的武侠小说，创作于1964年，最早于1964年6月《民族晚报》上连载。1964年-1966年5月，由当年中国台湾“武侠出版第一家”真善美出版社出版。此版又称“薄本版”。1976年，作者经过修订后重新出版，改名《浣花洗剑》，全三册，因系台湾汉麟出版社出版，故称“汉麟版”，也有人称其为“新版”，以与旧版“薄本”相对。
小说主要讲述一名东瀛剑客白衣人（实为旅日华侨）前往中原挑战，虽然败在紫衣侯之手，但是言定七年后再来。而紫衣侯这一战后死亡，年仅十三不会武功的方宝玉不得不成长起来，接受七年后的挑战。最终，白衣人中剑而死。一场武林劫难到此结束。
这部小说撇开繁琐的打斗过程，而重视打斗时的气氛、环境、人物心理的描写，有意识地描写人性的种种，重估人生价值。
该小说被多次改编为影视作品。
古龙，本名熊耀华，原籍江西。古龙毕业于台湾淡江大学外文系，是台湾著名新派武侠小说作家。他从1960年创作《苍穹神剑》始，一生共写了近70部武侠小说，影响巨大。其代表作有《风云第一刀》、《绝代双骄》、《楚留香传奇》系列、《陆小凤传奇》系列、《七种武器》系列、《流星·蝴蝶·剑》等。
故事从东瀛剑客白衣人挑战中原群雄开始，以方宝玉最终学成归来，战胜白衣人为结束，由主角方宝玉的成长历程贯穿始终。
作品虽有虎头蛇尾之嫌，但配角塑造比较出色，也都留给人深刻的印象，如啸傲海上的紫衣侯、坚韧机智的胡不愁、爱恨交织的小公主、风华绝代的水天姬、狠辣如蝎的万老夫人等等，都能给读者留下深刻印象。
“Huan Hua Washing Sword” is a martial arts novel written by Gu Long in 1964, and was first serialized in the “Minzu Evening News” in June 1964. From 1964 to May 1966, it was published by the “first Wuxia Publishing House” in Taiwan, China. This edition is also known as the “thin edition”. In 1976, the author revised and republished, renamed “Huanhua Washing Sword”, all three volumes, because it was published by Taiwan Hanlin Publishing House, it was called “Hanlin edition”, and some people called it “new edition”, in contrast to the old “thin edition”.
The novel mainly tells the story of a Japanese swordsman in white (actually overseas Chinese traveling in Japan) to the Central Plains to challenge, although defeated in the hands of purple Yi Hou, but will come again seven years later. And purple clothes Hou died after the war, only 13 years will not martial arts Fang Baoyu had to grow up, accept the challenge after seven years. In the end, the man in white died with the sword. This is the end of a martial arts disaster.
This novel puts aside the tedious fighting process, and attaches importance to the description of the atmosphere, environment and characters’ psychology during the fighting, consciously describes the various aspects of human nature, and reevaluates the value of life.
The novel has been adapted for film and television many times.
Gu Long, born Xiong Yaohua, originally from Jiangxi Province. Gu Long, who graduated from Tamkang University in Taiwan, is a famous writer of new martial arts novels in Taiwan. He wrote nearly 70 martial arts novels in his life from the beginning of the creation of “Excalibur in the Sky” in 1960, which had a huge influence. His representative works include “The First Sword of the Wind”, “Peerless Double Pride”, “The Legend of Chu Liuxiang” series, “The Legend of Lu Xiaofeng” series, “Seven Weapons” series, “Meteor · Butterfly · Sword” and so on.
The story from the Japanese swordsman white man challenge the Central plains group of males, to Fang Baoyu finally learned to return, defeat the white man end, by the protagonist Fang Baoyu’s growth process throughout.
Although the work has anticlimatic suspicion, but the supporting cast is more excellent, but also left a deep impression, such as the purple Yi Hou of the sea, the tough and witty Hu Buchu, the little princess of love and hate, the elegant water sky, the merciless and spicy as scorpion, and so on, can leave a deep impression on readers.
