此《圣庙祀典图考》为清代顾沅编，孔继尧绘图（刻工张景章镌）。全书分五卷，收录孔子及由汉至清历代配祀孔庙者约一百四十多人画像，包括孔子弟子及历代名儒，并均附人物小传。书前御制序为朱色刷印，书后附孔孟圣迹图一卷。此为清道光六年吴门赐砚堂顾氏刊本。
顾氏此书，因前人诸书之互异缺略，广蒐博采，并参阅《白水碑》、《孔子家语》等文献，正其讹谬，订其异同，以清代所颁定从祀位次为准，补入多篇传记。并访求汉唐以来诸先贤画像绘入，若无旧像可循，则付之阙如。书前有康熙、乾隆御制赞文，书后附《崇圣祠考》一篇记孔子父祖及诸从祀者事迹，并附《圣迹图》一卷。（介绍参考：圣庙祀典图考）

顾沅（1799～1851）清代学者、藏书家。字澧兰，号湘舟，又自号沧浪渔父，江苏长洲（今苏州）人。道光间官教谕，收藏金石、书籍甚富，颇多秘本、善本，建“怀古书屋”、“艺海楼”庋藏载籍。辑有《赐砚堂丛书》、《圣庙祀典图考》等。
孔继尧，字砚香，号莲乡，清代江苏昆山人。
A Study of the Sacred Temple Sacrificial Scriptures, Five Volumes, One Volume Attached with the Sacred Monuments, Compiled by Gu Yuan of the Qing Dynasty, Drawn by Kong Jiyao, Published by Gu Family in the Sixth Year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty

This “Examination of the Sacrificial Rites of the Holy Temple” was compiled by Gu Yuan of the Qing Dynasty and drawn by Kong Jiyao (engraved by Zhang Jingzhang). The book is divided into five volumes and includes portraits of Confucius and over 140 people who worshipped Confucius temples from Han to Qing dynasties, including Confucius’ disciples and famous Confucian scholars of all dynasties, all accompanied by biographies of figures. The preface before the book is a vermilion brush print, and a volume of images of Confucius and Mencius’ sacred sites is attached at the back of the book. This is the Gu family publication of the Yan Tang bestowed by Wu Men in the sixth year of the Qing Dynasty’s Daoguang reign.

Gu’s book, due to the differences and omissions among previous books, was extensively searched and collected, and references were made to literature such as the “Baishui Stele” and “Confucius Family Language” to correct its errors and identify its similarities and differences. It was based on the ranking of worshippers issued by the Qing Dynasty and included multiple biographies. And I will visit and inquire about the portraits of various sages since the Han and Tang dynasties, and if there are no old ones to follow, I will leave them empty. In front of the book, there are praises made by Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong. At the back of the book, there is an article titled “Examination of Chongsheng Temple” that records the deeds of Confucius’ ancestors and followers, as well as a volume titled “Map of Sacred Places”. Gu Yuan (1799-1851) was a scholar and book collector of the Qing Dynasty. The name is Lilan, also known as Xiangzhou, and also known as Canglang Fisherman. He was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu (now Suzhou). According to the official teachings of Dao Guangjian, he has a rich collection of gold, stone, and books, with many secret and rare books. He has built the “Nostalgia Bookstore” and the “Art Sea Tower” to collect and carry books. There are collections such as “Ciyantang Series of Books” and “Examination of Sacred Temples and Sacrificial Scriptures”.

Kong Jiyao, also known as Yanxiang and Lianxiang, was born in Kunshan, Jiangsu during the Qing Dynasty.
