《金瓶梅》作为我国古代的一部杰出长篇小说巨著，其影响之大，译本之多，可以说是举世闻名、千古少有。鲁迅先生高度评价它是“同是说部，无以至上”，郑振铎先生则称之为是“很伟大的写实小说”。
《金瓶梅画集》书标共两套八枚，双面印刷十六个画面，它是从原书的五百幅画面中精心选择出第一、五、八、十六、三十七、四十、二百五十一、二百九十、三百五十、三百七十六、四百二十五、四百九十六等十二幅画面进行艺术再创造的。《金瓶梅》作为我国古代的一部杰出长篇小说巨著，其影响之大，译本之多，可以说是举世闻名、千古少有。鲁迅先生高度评价它是“同是说部，无以至上”，郑振铎先生则称之为是“很伟大的写实小说”。
2003年购得上海书店出版的《金瓶梅画集》后，即刻被画集的精彩画面所吸引。看其五百幅画面无一雷同，画中人物惟妙惟肖，背景删繁就简，角度不断交换，或远景、或近景、或仰视、或俯视。五百幅画中工细处，工细到了极点；传神处，传神到了极点。笔触挺秀，织而有力，章法新颖，繁而不紊。充分运用了古今中外各种表现手法，线条挺拔老练。华夏深院，街坊茶舍均能衬别清楚。每幅画面吹毫欲活，喜笑怒骂，曲尽其态。不愧连环画库中的拔尖之作。当时想如果能出一套书标多好，并准备在年会上提出。
《金瓶梅画集》是曹涵美先生历时十年，数易其稿、精益求精而创作的，1942年上海《国民新闻》图书公司出版发行曹涵美画《金瓶梅全图》五百幅，每幅之下均配以小说中的摘录文字。号称《全图》，实际上《金瓶梅》共一百回，曹涵美只画了三十五回。当时的发行广告写道“文固奇书，画也佳作、上图下文，珠联璧合”，“无《金瓶梅》原文不能显曹画之能，无曹画也不能穷《金瓶梅》之妙”。书标所选的十二幅画面精美绝伦，充分聚焦了人物的表情和动作，多角度、多层次的展现了西门庆、潘金莲荒淫无度。画幅虽少但也展示了整个画集的全貌。美中不足的是一百到二百幅的画面没有选择，略感遗憾。

After purchasing the Collection of Paintings of Plum in the Golden Vase published by Shanghai Bookstore in 2003, I was immediately attracted by the wonderful pictures of the collection. There is no similarity in the five hundred pictures. The characters in the paintings are lifelike, the background is simplified, and the angles are constantly changing, or the perspective, or close range, or look up, or look down. In the five hundred paintings, the work is meticulous to the extreme; It is the most vivid place. The strokes are straight and beautiful, the weaving is powerful, and the organization is novel, complex and unobtrusive. It has made full use of various expressive techniques at all times and in all over the world, and its lines are straight and sophisticated. Huaxia deep courtyard and neighborhood tea houses can be distinguished clearly. In each picture, people want to live, laugh and scold, and sing to their full potential. It is worthy of the top work in the comic book library. At that time, I thought it would be great if I could produce a set of book labels, and I was ready to propose them at the annual meeting.
The Collection of Paintings of Plum in the Golden Vase was created by Mr. Cao Hanmei over a period of ten years. In 1942, Shanghai National News Book Company published five hundred paintings of Plum in the Golden Vase, each of which was accompanied by extracts from the novel. It is called “The Complete Picture”. In fact, “Plum in the Golden Vase” has a total of 100 times, and Cao Hanmei only painted 35 times. At that time, the release advertisement wrote that “the text is solid, the painting is also excellent, the above and the below are in perfect harmony”, “without the original text of the Plum in the Golden Vase, Cao’s painting can not be shown, and without Cao’s painting, the beauty of the Plum in the Golden Vase can not be limited”. The twelve pictures selected by the book title are extremely beautiful, fully focusing on the expressions and movements of the characters, and showing Ximen Qing and Pan Jinlian’s extravagance from multiple angles and levels. Although the paintings are few, they also show the whole picture collection. It’s a pity that there is no choice for one hundred to two hundred pictures.
