《庄子说：自然的箫声》提到：然比看一段文字有意思。画儿虽不能有动作，可是有含意，你越细心地瞧，越能发现出它里面的精辟所在。书中有了插图更能增加读者的兴趣。如只重图，不重文字，把一张张的图连接起来，那便是连环图，您不要以为这两种图全是从西方传入的方法。其实就在中国早就有了。画庄子的寓言不能用写实的笔法——全成了俩老头儿对话，毫无趣味。也不能用一笔一笔机械式的日本漫画，会令原文主旨尽夫。《庄子说》是三联书店出版的图书，作者是蔡志忠。蔡志忠台湾彰化人。一九四八年二月出生，十五岁开始从事漫画创作，发兵退伍后进入光启社从事电视美术指导工作。一九七六年成立龙卡通公司，拍摄《老夫子》、《乌龙院》等长篇动画电影，曾获一九八一年金马奖最佳卡通片奖。一九八三年开始画四格漫画《大醉侠》、《光头神探》和中国古籍经典漫画《庄子说》、《老子说》等，迄今已达一百多部；作品在三十一个国家和地区出版，总销量逾三千万册。目前正从事佛学、神学的修习和物理学等科学的研究
