几米，原名廖福彬，男，汉族，1958年11月15日出生于台湾省宜兰县，台湾绘本画家。1982年几米本科毕业于中国文化大学美术系设计组，获学士学位。1998年首度在台湾创办个人的绘本创作《森林里的秘密》《微笑的鱼》。1999年出版《向左走，向右走》，其作品获选为1999年金石堂十大最具影响力的书，开创出成人绘本的新型式，他的作品风靡华人圈，美、法、德、希腊、韩、日、泰国等国家皆有译本， 学界和媒体多次以几米现象为主题分析评论。几米的漫画作品曾获得中国时报“开卷”最佳童书，民生报“好书大家读”年度最佳童书奖项、金鼎奖推荐优良图书、2006年柏林电影节获奖等。
Jimi, originally named Liao Fubin, male, Han nationality, was born in Yilan County, Taiwan Province on November 15, 1958, and is a Taiwan picture book painter. In 1982, Jimi graduated from the Design Group of the Fine Arts Department of the University of Chinese Culture with a bachelor’s degree. In 1998, he first created his own picture book, Secrets in the Forest and Smiling Fish in Taiwan. He published Left, Right in 1999, and his work was selected as one of the ten most influential books of Jinshitang in 1999, creating a new style of adult picture books. His works are popular in Chinese circles, and there are translations in the United States, France, Germany, Greece, Korea, Japan, Thailand and other countries. Academic circles and media have repeatedly analyzed and commented on the phenomenon of meters. Jimmy’s comic works have won the “Open Book” Best Children’s Book of the China Times, the “Good Book for All” Best Children’s Book Award of the Year of the Minsheng Daily, the Golden Tripod Award for Recommended Books, the Berlin Film Festival in 2006, etc.
