在蒲松龄的老家山东，在沂蒙山一带，人们把神话传说一类的故事都叫作“聊斋汊子”。《聊斋汊子（全两册）》是董均伦和江源历时数十年从搜集整理的无数故事中选出的。《聊斋汊子（全两册）》近百万言，长长短短百余故事，所有这些，都是来自齐鲁大地的口头文学，有的优美，有的神奇，有的浪漫，有的怪诞……语言质朴，故事富有活力，悉数展现历史风貌和人情世态，是民间文化真正的活化石。新版《聊斋汊子（全两册）》从1984年版《聊斋汊子》中删去了十几则篇幅较短的故事，从1987年版《聊斋汊子（续集）》中补入了十几则，最后一共选录101篇故事，并邀请优秀的年轻插画师为所有故事制作百余幅版画题花，打造经典纯粹的民间故事版本。董均伦（1917-2004），山东威海人。江源，董均伦之妻，《聊斋汊子》民间故事收集整理写作之重要搭档。上世纪三十年代，在北平外国语专科学校学习英语的董均伦奔赴延安，历任八路军军医院翻译、野战医院英文教员等。从上世纪四十年代初开始，董均伦与江源夫妇二人历时半个世纪，以地处胶东半岛西部的昌邑牟家庄和鲁南沂蒙山等广大地区为基地，不分寒暑，长期驻扎在老百姓中，深入进行采录和调查，搜集和写定了大量在老百姓中间口头流传的民间传说和故事（主要是山东民间故事）。其中不少故事在国外翻译出版，比如日文译本《山东民话集》和德文译本《白果子——中国民间故事集》。聊斋汊子（全两册）之一、聊斋汊子（全两册）之二
In Pu Songling’s hometown of Shandong, and in the Yimeng Mountains, people call myths and legends as “Liaozhai Chazi”. Liaozhai Chazi (two volumes in total) was selected by Dong Junlun and Jiang Yuan from countless stories collected and sorted over the past decades. Liaozhai Chazi (two volumes in total) has nearly a million words and more than a hundred long and short stories, all of which are oral literature from Qilu. Some are beautiful, some are magical, some are romantic, and some are grotesque… The language is simple, the stories are full of vitality, all of which show the historical style and human attitudes, and are real living fossils of folk culture. The new edition of Liaozhai Chazi (two volumes in total) deleted more than a dozen short stories from the 1984 edition of Liaozhai Chazi, and added more than a dozen stories from the 1987 edition of Liaozhai Chazi (sequel). Finally, 101 stories were selected, and excellent young illustrators were invited to make more than 100 print inscriptions for all stories, creating a classic and pure folk story version. Dong Junlun (1917-2004) was born in Weihai, Shandong Province. Jiang Yuan, the wife of Dong Junlun, is an important partner in the collection, collation and writing of folk stories in Liaozhai Chazi. In the 1930s, Dong Junlun, who studied English in Peiping Foreign Languages College, went to Yan’an and served as a translator in the Eighth Route Army Hospital and an English teacher in the field hospital. Since the early 1940s, Dong Junlun and Jiang Yuan have spent half a century, based in Mujiazhuang, Changyi and Yimeng Mountain in southern Shandong, which are located in the west of Jiaodong Peninsula. They have been stationed among the people for a long time, regardless of the weather. They have collected and written a large number of folklores and stories (mainly Shandong folktales) that are passed down orally among the people. Many of these stories have been translated and published abroad, such as the Japanese version of Shandong Folk Tales Collection and the German version of Bai Guozi Chinese Folk Tales Collection.
