新镌海内奇观.十卷.杨尔曾.杭州夷白堂刻.明万历37年1609刊
本书由明代杨尔曾辑，钱塘陈一贯绘，新安汪忠信镌。一函六册，共十卷。与一般的游记不同，本书图文对照，书内插图，以图为主，辅以文字说明，单面、双面对页连式不等，所收皆名山大川，古刹名胜，绘刻俱工，是明代山水版画的重要作品。既满足文人雅士卧游之需，又方便文化水平不高的读者阅读，可以说是晚明雅俗共赏、图文并茂的导游图册。
杨尔曾，原名尔真，字圣鲁，号雉衡山人、草玄居士、夷白道人、卧游道人等，浙江钱塘（今杭州）人。具体生平不详，大致活动于明神宗万历、天啓年间，以编辑刊印小说、戏曲为业，知见有以堂号草玄居、夷白堂、武林人文聚、泰和堂等编撰刊行书籍多种。其中尤以绣像插图著称，刻有《仙媛纪事》《图绘宗彝》《新编东西晋演义》《韩湘子全传》《海内奇观》等书。

This book was compiled by Yang Erzeng of the Ming Dynasty, painted by Chen Yitong of Qiantang, and engraved by Wang Zhongxin of Xin’an. One letter with six volumes, totaling ten volumes. Unlike ordinary travelogues, this book is illustrated with illustrations and text, with illustrations mainly based on images and supplemented by textual explanations. The page layout varies between single and double sides, and all the collected works are famous mountains and rivers, ancient temples and scenic spots, with exquisite carving and painting techniques. It is an important work of landscape printmaking in the Ming Dynasty. It not only meets the needs of literati and literati for sleeping tours, but also facilitates readers with low cultural level to read. It can be said to be a tour guide brochure with both refined and popular tastes, and rich illustrations and text in the late Ming Dynasty.

Yang Erzeng, formerly known as Erzhen and also known as Shenglu, was a native of Qiantang (now Hangzhou), Zhejiang Province. He was also known as the Zhiheng Mountain Man, Caohuan Jushi, Yibai Taoist, and Sleeping Taoist. The specific life story is unknown, and it roughly occurred during the Wanli and Tianqi periods of Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty. He worked as an editor and publisher of novels and operas, and was known to have compiled and published various books under the hall names of Cao Xuanju, Yi Bai Tang, Wulin Humanities Gathering, Taihe Tang, etc. Among them, it is particularly famous for its embroidered illustrations, which are engraved with books such as “Chronicles of the Immortal Yuan”, “Tu Hua Zong Yi”, “Newly Compiled Romance of the Eastern and Western Jin Dynasties”, “Complete Biography of Han Xiangzi”, and “Wonders of the Sea”.
