为了适应当前武术蓬勃发展的需要,在人民体育出版社的大力支持和帮助下,我编著了这本《形意拳械精解》。本书分上下两册,上册主要内容是五行拳、十二形和传统套路;下册主要是刀、枪、剑、棍和八字功。上册共有七章,第一章形意拳的起源。第二章桩功,介绍了五个桩法,以三体势为主,不但讲述了三体势的来源和内中含义,而且对各部的要领和具体要求作了较为详细的讲解。砸桩是一种长功快的桩法,混元桩注重养身和放松,降龙、伏虎桩外注重间架结构的正确和劲力的合顺,内练心、意、气、神。
第三章五行拳,重点放在每一个拳法的劲力问题,整劲是形意拳最显著的特点之一,对每一个拳法动作劲力的来源,各部如何协调配合,关键部位在哪里,以及怎样打出整劲等问题,进行了详细的分析和讲解;对五行拳的呼吸方法作了介绍,使动作与呼吸相配合。
第四章十二形,突出了每一形在练习中应带有的意念和意境。在形意拳各拳法的练习中,如果没有意念去指导,那只叫“形拳”。目前有重形轻意的现象,在练拳时,我们应该带着什么样的意念?用什么样的意念去指导练习?练习形意拳不能没有意,应该“形”“意”并重,在练拳???程中,有什么样的意念,就有什么样的劲力;有什么样的意境,就有什么样的功夫。
第五、六章是传统套路和对练,完全保留了民间传统的练法,只是在劲力和意念方面加入了自己的心得体会。第七章是自己学练的心得体会,只能起抛砖引玉的作用。
In order to meet the needs of the current booming development of martial arts, with the strong support and assistance of the People’s Sports Publishing House, I have compiled this book “The Essence of Form and Meaning Fist and Weapon”. This book is divided into two volumes, the first volume mainly covers the Five Elements Fist, Twelve Forms, and traditional routines; The second volume mainly focuses on swords, spears, swords, sticks, and eight character skills. The first chapter consists of seven chapters, including the origin of Xingyi Fist. Chapter 2, Zhuanggong, introduces the five pile techniques, focusing on the three body postures. It not only discusses the sources and internal meanings of the three body postures, but also provides a detailed explanation of the essentials and specific requirements of each part. Smashing piles is a long and fast pile method. Mixed element piles focus on nourishing and relaxing the body, while dragon subduing and tiger subduing piles focus on the correctness of the inter frame structure and the integration of strength, while internally practicing the heart, mind, qi, and spirit.

Chapter 3, Five Elements Fist, focuses on the strength issue of each fist technique. Quan Jin is one of the most prominent characteristics of Xingyi Fist. A detailed analysis and explanation were conducted on the source of strength in each fist technique, how to coordinate and cooperate with each part, where the key parts are, and how to use Quan Jin; The breathing methods of the Five Elements Fist were introduced to match the movements with the breathing.

Chapter 4, Twelve Forms, highlights the ideas and artistic conception that each form should carry in practice. In the practice of various techniques of Xingyi Fist, if there is no intention to guide, it is only called “Xingquan”. At present, there is a phenomenon of emphasizing form over intention. When practicing boxing, what kind of mentality should we bring? What kind of mindset is used to guide practice? Practicing Xingyi Quan cannot be without intention, it should be emphasized on both “form” and “meaning”, while practicing boxing??? In the process, whatever kind of intention there is, what kind of strength there is; What kind of artistic conception there is, what kind of skill there is.

The fifth and sixth chapters are traditional routines and exercises, completely retaining the traditional folk practice methods, but incorporating one’s own experiences and insights in terms of strength and ideas. Chapter 7 is my own experience of learning and practicing, which can only serve as a catalyst for success.
