李派拳法创始人李树勋，字文侯，号瑞东。清末民初人，祖居河北武清县（今天津市武清区）城关人。御称其技“盖世神功”，号“黑风大侠”，受封清宫四品带刀侍卫，历任清王府国术教师、清宫国术总教师、全军国术总教长兼北京高等学府总教习。先生大力倡导中华武术，集全国众家武术大家各派名流创建中华武士会，主持主裁“天下英雄会”。
先生先后从师李老遂、杨禄禅（王兰亭代师传艺）、慧海法师、董海川、岳青山、甘淡然等六大名师，终得戳脚、少林、八卦、心意和南北太极诸拳法真蒂，尤其继承了传承稀少的“少林内廊秘法拳”和“岳氏心意六合十二形拳”。后将毕生所学熔于一炉、精化提炼而生发成新，独具匠心而创新式太极拳，即现在所惯称的“李派太极拳”。
老先生因人而宜择人分传其功法，其徒陈继先尽得“少林内廊秘法拳”和“岳氏心意六合十二形拳”之精髓，其子李季英独得太极拳之精奥，作为第三代弟子的张万生又集二师之艺归于一身，从而全面继承了李派拳法的完整衣钵。
张绍堂先生，张万生之子，出生于1951年6月，祖籍河北廊坊市广阳区北旺乡相士屯村。幼承家父之庭训，七岁开始习拳练功，秉喜武之天性，加之父亲的言传身教，以弘扬传统武术为终身志向，克服诸多困难，在父亲的督促和自己的努力下，学得李派的全部功法（动功拳法和静修功法及器械套路），步入中年之后，理法上佛道共参，实证中境界飞升，体悟到了李派拳法的深奥内涵，真正成为了李派拳法第四代传人之杰出代表。
在长期的钻研和修炼中，张绍堂先生坚持悟练结合，写出了上百篇的心得和论文，部分论文在《武当》、《武魂》等武术杂志上发表。与其弟子杜子宇共同编撰了全部李派功法系列丛书共七册，现已全部出版（太极拳三册由山西科技出版社出版，少林内廊秘法拳与岳氏心意十二形拳及器械共四册由湖北科技出版社出版）。功法影像资料和教学片在大陆和台湾广泛传播。北京体育大学“国际武术研习班”《中国传统太极拳》课程特聘教授。参加过多次国际、国家、省市级的武术比赛与观摩赛，得到了中国武术协会和传统武术界的广泛赞赏。
张绍堂先生在1994年至2000年期间担任湖北莲花山武校副校长兼总教练。1996年被列入《当代武术家辞典》，1998年被列入《中华魂百业英才大典》，1999年九月被列入世界文化艺术研究中心出版的《世界名人录》，1999年十月被列入《世界优秀人才大典》及《二十一世纪人才库》。
The founder of Li Pai boxing was Li Shuxun, styled Wenhou and named Ruidong. He was born in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and his ancestral home was Wuqing County, Hebei Province (now Wuqing District, Tianjin). The royal called his skill “the greatest magic”, the title of “Black wind warrior”, was awarded the Qing Palace four sword guards, and served as the Qing Palace wushu teacher, the Qing Palace Wushu chief teacher, the whole army wushu general dean and the Beijing higher education general instructor. Mr. Vigorously advocated Chinese martial arts, set up the Chinese Warrior Association of all martial arts celebrities, and presided over the “World Heroes Association”.
Mr. Li has been taught by Li Laosui, Yang Luchan (Wang Lanting), Master Hui Hai, Dong Haichuan, Yue Qingshan, Gan Danran and other six famous teachers, and finally got the foot, Shaolin, eight diagrams, heart and northern and southern tai chi boxing, especially inherited the rare inheritance of the “Shaolin Alley Secret Method of boxing” and “Yue’s mind six and twelve forms of boxing”. After a lifetime of learning into a furnace, refined and refined to produce a new, unique and innovative style of tai Chi, that is now commonly known as “Li school Tai Chi.”
His disciple Chen Jixian got the essence of “Shaolin Inner Corridor Secret Fa Boxing” and “Yue Family’s mind six-in-one twelve-shape boxing”, his son Li Jiying got the essence of Taijiquan alone, and Zhang Wansheng, as the third generation disciple, integrated the skills of the two teachers into one body, thus fully inheriting the complete legacy of Li’s boxing.
Mr. Zhang Shaotang, the son of Zhang Wansheng, was born in June 1951. His ancestral home is Xiangshitun Village, Beiwang Township, Guangyang District, Langfang City, Hebei Province. When I was young, I began to practice boxing at the age of seven, bingxing the nature of martial arts, coupled with his father’s words and deeds, to promote traditional martial arts as a lifelong ambition, to overcome many difficulties, under the supervision of my father and my own efforts, I learned all the exercises of Li School (dynamic Kung Fu and boxing and meditation exercises and equipment sets), into middle age, the Dharma, Buddhism and Taoism, the realm of the demonstration soared. He realized the profound connotation of Li School boxing and truly became an outstanding representative of the fourth generation of Li School boxing.
In the long-term study and cultivation, Mr. Zhang Shaotang insisted on the combination of enlightenment and practice, and wrote hundreds of experiences and papers, some of which were published in “Wudang”, “Wu Soul” and other martial arts magazines. Together with his disciple Du Ziyu, he compiled a total of seven volumes of the Li School Exercises series, all of which have been published (three volumes of Taijiquan are published by Shanxi Science and Technology Publishing House, and four volumes of Shaolin-Neilang Secret Method Boxing and Yue’s Heart twelve-shaped boxing and instruments are published by Hubei Science and Technology Publishing House). He has participated in many international, national, provincial and municipal martial arts competitions and watching competitions, and has been widely appreciated by the Chinese Martial Arts Association and traditional martial arts circles.
Mr. Zhang served as Vice President and head coach of Hubei Lianhuashan Martial Arts School from 1994 to 2000. In 1996, it was included in the “Dictionary of Contemporary Martial Artists”, in 1998, it was included in the “Chinese Soul 100 Talents”, in September 1999, it was included in the “World Who’s Who” published by the World Culture and Art Research Center, and in October 1999, it was included in the “World Outstanding Talents” and “Talent Pool of the 21st Century”.
