凝香室鸿雪因缘图记.第1-3集.麟庆著.道光29年序。《鸿雪因缘图记》，全书共三集，每集分上、下两卷，一事一图，一图一记，凡240图、记240篇，系清麟庆撰着， 汪春泉等绘图，为作者记述身世与亲历见闻之作。麟庆曾经宦游大江南北，加以性好山水，所至之地皆不废登临,留心考察，见闻宏广，并将自己所历所闻所见一一详加记录，复请当时著名画家汪英福(春泉)、陈鉴(朗斋)、汪圻(甸卿)等人按题绘成游历图，以期使生平雪泥鸿爪之印痕藉以长久保留。是书以图文相副相成的形式，实录其所至所闻的各地山川、古迹、风土、民俗、风俗、河防、水利、盐务等等,保存和反映了道光年间广阔的社会风貌。清道光十八年(1828年)，麟庆门生王国佐曾将《图记》初、二集付之剞劂，因“图帙缜密，未得镌手,故只刊记文，未刊图画。”至麟庆殁后三年(1849年)，其子崇实、崇厚始在扬州觅得良工，将包括初、二、三集全部图画文字内容的《图记》刻板印行，刻工十分精美。《鸿雪因缘图记》所载240图，内涵涉及山水屋木、人物走兽、舟车桥梁,包罗万象,纤毫毕具。郑振铎《中国古代木刻画史略》著录此书，称其“以图来记叙自己生平，刻得很精彩，可考见当时的生活实况。《鸿雪因缘图记》凡三集，卷帙最为浩瀚。
Records of Hongxue’s Fate in the Condensed Fragrance Room. Episodes 1-3. Written by Lin Qing. Preface to the 29th year of Daoguang. The book is divided into three parts. Lin Qing once traveled north and south of the Yangtze River as an official and had a good taste for mountains and waters. He never stopped visiting any place he came to. The book records the mountains, historical sites, customs, customs, river defense, water conservancy, salt affairs, etc. in the form of pictures and texts, preserving and reflecting the broad social landscape of Daoguang. In the 18th year of Daoguang’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1828), Wang Guozuo, a disciple of Linqing, wrote the first and second episodes of Tuji. Because “the pictures are so vast and meticulous that they cannot be engraved, so they only write articles, but not pictures.” Three years after Linqing’s death (1849), his son Chongshi and Chonghou began to find good jobs in Yangzhou, and printed the block of Tuji, which includes all the pictures and words in the first, second and third episodes, with very exquisite engraving. The 240 pictures contained in The Legend of Hongxue Karma involve mountains and rivers, houses and trees, people and animals, boats and bridges, which are all inclusive and complete. Zheng Zhenduo’s A Brief History of Ancient Chinese Wood Carving Paintings records this book, saying that it “describes his life with pictures, which is wonderful, and you can see the real life at that time.
